Champagnes are sparkling-wine made with-in the delimited region of Champagne at France by following the méthode champenoise(one of the old method to producing champagne). The Romans were the primary inhabitants who planted vineyards at the Champagne region. The name comes from the Latin campania and mentioned the similarities between the rolling hills of that province & Italian country side of Campania located at the south of Rome.

The primary grapes wont to produce are black Pinot noir and Pinot Meunier and also white Chardonnay. Champagne appellation-law allows the grapes are allows to grown  only according to appellation-rules of champagne appellation law, specifically in designated plots within the appellation to be utilized in production.

Champagnes are branded by the shipper’s name.
The three grapes utilized in the manufacturing process of Champagnes include :
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier

USES OF CHAMPAGNE

One of the foremost delicate and pleasant wines – lengthy process – never cheap – glamour wine.
Celebration wine – indispensable at weddings, receptions, formal banquets, etc.

Sec Dry or medium sweet: 3%-5% sugar

Doux Very sweet: 7% or more sugar
